WHAT IS UP WITH MY LAYOUT??

i was going through my bookmarks and i found this blog
http://ciole.blogspot.com/
they might be an old school friend but i can't remember

so i started reading some of their posts and it made me realize how i couldn't write anything like it and reminded me why i stopped blogging.

i can barely be bothered to finish posts properly and i was never good at making sense when im writing things that i care about.

also i think it's pretty boring reading what other people wrote unless you know them and that's like 30 people. not that i have 30 friends (i have less).

i don't know where im going with this
:(

what i had in my head when i woke up -

wooooooooooooo

!

Here are my favorite records of 2009. some people asked me if i had a last.fm which i do but when did last.fm become so popular? it's a pretty stupid idea thinking about it. and im never near a computer these days which is why i never update.anything. which im really sorry about

- real estate - s/t - brings up nostalgic memories of a childhood spent lazing about porches of our friends with hands across eyes keeping out the morning sun, beach winds, palm trees, and other cliched shit that i probably never experienced despite the fact i live in california.

animal collective - merriweather post pavilion - i prefer strawberry jam but it's been 2 years and it's about time i got over it. i guess this helped. lion in a coma induces nightmares

- health - in color - neattttt

- kurt vile - whichever record it was.- this dude is RAD.

- woods- songs of shame - my friend described them as 'creatures whispering the sweetest melodies in your ears'.
their daytrotter session and 7'' (ram and sunlit) are pretty amazing., but theres this eerie hiss that follows all of woods songs that i can't shake. folky but spooky.
''It's "time's fading lines" that are so controlling and just the idea seems haunted when it comes out of Earl's mouth, lent all of its body and atmosphere by delightful reverberations and minimalistic instrumentation that makes you feel as if you're safe from the stampede, as if those death rattles might still break before they're making their songs for you, before they're getting to be your inner monologue. It's essential listening for anyone finally coming to grips that they are a tiny speck, just out there trying not to be destroyed by the pressure and natural causes. ''

best description i've read i think. daytrotter's write ups can border on the 'wait....what?' but i wish i wrote this.

also at rear house was pretty amazing.

- sunset rubdown - dragonslayer -it's hard to put in perspective something you've been waiting for for 2 years. me and my friend screamed and yelled and jumped and ran through our house the entire way through the first playing of it.

- Lake- lets build a roof - i missed these guys, their s/t is one of my favorite records

- daniel johnston - Is and Always Was - probably not that good but im in love with him so i like it. a lot.

- mount eerie - wind's dark poem - yessss. totally weird.but so cool.

- crocodiles, darlings, best coast, brilliant colors, girls, nodzzz, lovvers, wavves (..motherfuckers. there must be a conspiracy.)
all released good songs i guess. i really liked teenage girl and I Don't Wanna (Smoke Marijuana) cuz hearing it live it was the most fun ever.

- best record of 09 is as it is every year is odelay. yey!

anyway. i'll post mp3s or records later. not sure. probably neither.

hello friends and strangers
i've been trying to sign into facebook for the past 2 months and it won't let me. i have no idea what is up with that.
but im not dead
sorry about the weird changes to the blog. I was going through some of my older posts and it suddenly hit me that I wasn't 18 anymore. so I deleted everything apart from this one draft I made when I first started blogging about hitting my head and talking to natalie and it made me laugh so much cause I literally cannot remember me ever writing that or the thing that happened that made me want to write it. so I decided I should post it for the sake of my sad stupid heart. although im pretty sure that memory with natalie was a good one.

oh and i found that listening to bob dylan's christmas record makes life a little better
not sure what is up with that either
